ESTUARIES and COASTS occasionally publishes special issues devoted to a single topic in estuarine and coastal science. Ideas for special issues should be submitted to the Managing Editor's office in the form of a 1-2 page proposal in which the following items are considered -- the importance to estuarine science of the topic of the special issue, the guest editor(s) for the issue, a list of titles and authors, and the time frame in which the papers for the issue might be developed (e.g., an upcoming ERF conference or other meeting). Once an issue is approved by the Managing Editor and the Editor-in-Chief, it must also be approved by the Governing Board of the Estuarine Research Federation. Funding for publication must be arranged prior to receipt of any manuscripts. Additional information about special issues should be directed to the Managing Editor's office. | |||
